Codere Online has confirmed a fresh change in its senior ranks as it continues its corporate reshuffle. And the move revolves around the Codere Online CFO role, which now has a new name attached.
Codere Online has appointed Marcus Arildsson as its new Chief Financial Officer, taking over from Oscar Iglesias. Iglesias will support the transition and is expected to join the board, pending shareholder approval on 1 December. The company said the move aligns with its ongoing leadership plan and long-announced succession process.
Arildsson arrives with more than 25 years of experience spanning investment banking, equity markets and corporate finance. His early career included roles at Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch, where he worked on more than €9bn in transactions. He later advised corporates and sponsors at Arcano Partners in Madrid with deal volumes exceeding €5bn.
The incoming Codere Online CFO has also held finance leadership roles at Millenium Hospitality Real Estate, Sonae Sierra and retail media firm Ladorian. His listed-company experience includes overseeing a €700m real-estate portfolio.
Arildsson holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management and is fluent in three languages.
In a statement, Arildsson said: “I’m thrilled to join Codere Online… and I look forward to contributing to the next chapter of that journey.” CEO Aviv Sher noted that his background will support the company’s execution plan. Sher also thanked Iglesias for supporting a clean handover.
Codere Online chairman Gonzaga Higuero welcomed the appointment and highlighted Arildsson’s international finance background. He said the board sees the move as strengthening the company’s executive structure. The update comes as Codere Online continues to refine its governance strategy across key markets.
