The Brazilian Volleyball Association (CBV) has teamed up with Sportradar to elevate Brazilian volleyball. This exclusive Brazilian volleyball partnership aims to improve athlete performance, data analysis, and match integrity. Through cutting-edge technology, Sportradar will provide innovative solutions to boost the sport at all levels.

  • Sportradar will use computer vision to analyze CBV matches and training sessions on both beach and indoor courts. The data will generate detailed metrics and dynamic visualizations, offering teams and coaches crucial insights.

  • A collaboration with VolleyStation will introduce new technology to CBV, including a Video Checking System at 22 training venues. This system enhances officiating accuracy, ensuring fairer play in key competitions.

  • A Brazilian Player Data Hub will be created to track athlete progress. This initiative will help identify future champions and refine training strategies for both individual players and teams.

  • Automated data collection and video production will be implemented at the national team training center in Saquarema. These upgrades will provide real-time performance feedback and assist in strategic planning.

  • To safeguard Brazilian volleyball, Sportradar will deploy its Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS) to monitor over 7,400 CBV competitions each year. Educational workshops will also be held to raise awareness about match-fixing risks.

  • “We are equipping CBV with deep data and insights to identify the next generation of champions while ensuring competition integrity,” said Sergio Floris, Managing Director Brazil, Sportradar.

  • CBV officials highlighted the importance of technology in improving Superliga matches. Jorge Bichara, CBV Technical Director, emphasized that athlete-specific data is a key tool for developing national volleyball.

  • Marketing and New Business Director Henrique Netto noted that Sportradar’s data solutions will enhance fan engagement and open new revenue opportunities for CBV.

  • CBV remains one of Brazil’s most successful sports federations, having won 14 Olympic medals in beach volleyball and 12 in indoor volleyball. Brazil also holds the record for most Volleyball World League titles.
