Rank Group digital revenue remains a key focus as the business balances online and venue performance.

Group like-for-like net gaming revenue came in at GBP 205.4m (ca. EUR 236m) for Q3, up 5% year-on-year. Year-to-date revenue reached GBP 625.2m (ca. EUR 718m), marking a 6% increase. Digital revenue rose 4%, compared to 6% growth from venues, showing a slightly slower pace online.

Rank Group digital revenue in the UK increased by 2% during the quarter. The company said this reflects actions taken to offset the impact of higher Remote Gaming Duty. Cost reductions across marketing, suppliers and headcount also supported the segment.

International digital performance was stronger, with revenue up 14% on a like-for-like basis. This growth was linked to ongoing platform improvements and changes to the customer proposition. The international segment continues to be the main driver of online expansion.

Offline revenue reached a combined GBP 144.5m (ca. EUR 166m) in Q3, driven mainly by gaming machines across three venues with machine performance a key contributor to growth. The land-based segment benefited from increased machine play, which supported overall revenue gains during the quarter.

Rank Group said it expects full-year underlying operating profit of at least GBP 68m (ca.

BETBY has opened 2026 with solid momentum across its sportsbook and esports business. The supplier said BETBY Q1 growth was driven by higher revenue, more active players and continued demand from operator partners. March also stood out as the company’s strongest month of the quarter.

BETBY said sportsbook gross gaming revenue rose 61% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2026. Active players across the sportsbook business increased 38% over the same period. The company said this reflected steady engagement and further growth in its partner network.

March was the standout month in the quarter and set a new record for the business. The result came as the sports calendar moved into a busier stretch, including the closing stages of major European football leagues and the UEFA Champions League. BETBY said this gave extra support to betting activity during the month.

Betby.Games also posted year-on-year growth in Q1. Gross gaming revenue from the esports product rose 42%, while active players increased 32%. That performance shows the product remains an important part of the wider BETBY Q1 growth story.

The supplier said ongoing investment in trading models, AI-based tools and esports content remains central to its strategy. It also pointed to partner support and product tailoring as part of its commercial approach. BETBY said these areas are helping operators improve performance and keep users engaged.

Chief executive Leonid Pertsovskiy said the quarter reflected both product work and partner confidence. “We’re seeing strong growth across both sportsbook and esports, and that comes down to the work we’ve put into the product and the trust our partners place in us,” he said. He added that BETBY Q1 growth was encouraging because it was visible across several key metrics rather than in one area alone.

The EU online gambling ruling gives fresh clarity on how far national rules can go. It centres on a dispute involving Malta-licensed operators and a German player. The case highlights how different regulatory approaches still apply across the EU – see more details:

The Court of Justice of the European Union confirmed that countries can restrict certain online gambling services, even when operators are licensed in another member state. The case involved two Malta-based companies offering online slots and lottery-style betting. A German customer who lost money later sought to recover those losses through legal channels.

At the time the bets were placed, German law only allowed limited forms of online gambling, mainly sports and horse racing. Other products, including virtual slots, were not permitted. The court found that such restrictions can be justified if they are aimed at protecting consumers and keeping gambling activity under control.

The judges said EU rules on the free movement of services are not absolute in this context. Governments can step in where there are concerns around harm, fraud or illegal markets. They also pointed out that online gambling brings specific risks due to constant availability and limited oversight.

One of the more practical outcomes of the EU online gambling ruling is that players may be able to claim back losses. This applies if the operator was offering services that were not legal in the player’s country at the time. Even holding a licence elsewhere in the EU does not automatically protect operators from such claims.

The court also looked at Germany’s move to introduce a regulated licensing system in 2021. It made clear that this later change does not affect earlier cases. As noted in the ruling, “the participation of the consumer… is not sufficient to constitute an abuse of rights,” leaving room for claims linked to past activity.

DATA.BET has launched in-stream betting, a new feature built for live stream wagering on mobile. The product keeps markets, odds and the bet slip inside the broadcast, so players do not have to leave the stream to place a bet. The release reflects how betting activity has shifted toward mobile and more fast, in-play experiences.

DATA.BET said the feature is integrated at the frontend level and works within an operator’s existing streaming setup. By keeping betting tools inside the stream, users can stay engaged with the event while placing wagers in real time.
