Scientific Games and Hellenic Lotteries have agreed a long-term partnership in Greece securing a new 12-year concession to operate Greek state lotteries and scratchcards. The first Greek scratchcard games under the agreement were launched in May 2026.

  • Hellenic Lotteries, part of Allwyn Hellas, selected Scientific Games as its scratchcard supplier through a competitive procurement process. The agreement runs alongside Hellenic Lotteries’ new 12-year licence to operate state lottery and scratchcard products in Greece. It also includes the possibility of exploring digital lottery products in the future.
  • A total of 14 new scratchcard titles launched in May 2026 as the new licence period began. The rollout marked the first stage of the partnership between the two companies. These Greek scratchcard games are aimed at supporting player engagement across the market.
  • Scientific Games will produce the scratchcards at its UK-based European Center of Game Production Excellence. The supplier will also provide sales support services to help manage game distribution and retail operations. The company currently serves lotteries across 50 countries worldwide.
  • Matthaios Mattaiou, Chief Sales & Marketing PLAY Stores/HL and Operations Officer at Allwyn Hellas, said: “At Allwyn Hellas and Hellenic Lotteries, we put players at the center of everything we do, emphasizing their entertainment experience.” Scientific Games said it will use its game design and analytics expertise to develop a portfolio of Greek scratchcard games during the new concession period.
