SEGA Sammy reported a sharp increase in Gaming Business revenue during its first quarter ended June 30, 2026. SEGA Sammy digital gaming operations now include GAN and Stakelogic, both acquired during the previous financial year. Group net sales increased 17.3% to JPY 95.0 billion (ca. EUR 13.9 million).

  • Gaming Business sales rose 491.5% year-on-year from JPY 1.36 billion (ca. EUR 7.5 million) to JPY 8.03 billion. Much of the increase came from the consolidation of GAN and Stakelogic. The segment now combines land-based gaming machines with a larger B2B online gaming operation.
  • GAN provides technology and platform services for online gaming operators, with a particular presence in North America. SEGA Sammy is moving GAN customers onto its V2 platform while also working to reduce costs. The company said these measures are part of efforts to improve the digital operation.
  • Stakelogic adds online slots and live casino content to SEGA Sammy digital gaming. SEGA Sammy is currently reviewing the supplier’s operations, including reducing unprofitable activities and narrowing its product portfolio. Stakelogic is based in the Netherlands and became part of SEGA Sammy in 2025.
  • The group is also connecting its land-based and online casino activities through an omnichannel strategy. SEGA Sammy plans to bring IP from existing gaming machines into online gaming products. This gives the company another way to use its casino content across both physical and digital channels.
  • The expansion has not yet translated into profit for the Gaming Business. The segment posted an ordinary loss of JPY 1.80 billion (ca. EUR 10 million)  compared with a JPY 180 million (ca. EUR 1 million) profit a year earlier, while adjusted EBITDA was negative JPY 946 million (ca. EUR 5.2 million). SEGA Sammy said the consolidation of GAN and Stakelogic affected the year-on-year result.
  • Outside SEGA Sammy digital gaming, the group continues to operate its gaming machine business and holds an interest in Paradise City in South Korea. Group operating income reached JPY 2.38 billion (ca. EUR 13 million), compared with a JPY 519 million (ca. EUR 2.8 million) loss in the previous-year quarter.
