Tabcorp has agreed to acquire wagering technology supplier BetMakers while completion is targeted for Q3 FY2027 – see more details:

  • The Tabcorp BetMakers acquisition values the company at around AUD 283 million (ca. EUR 173 million)  in terms of equity on a fully diluted basis.The cash consideration will be funded from existing cash and/or undrawn debt facilities. The Tabcorp BetMakers acquisition still requires shareholder, court, ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission) and relevant gaming and racing regulatory approvals. .
  • Tabcorp will offer AUD 0.24 (ca. EUR 0.15) per BetMakers share, giving the business an enterprise value of around AUD 267 million (ca EUR 163 million). The price represents a 41% premium to BetMakers’ one-month volume-weighted average price. BetMakers’ board has unanimously recommended the deal, subject to the stated conditions.
  • The Tabcorp BetMakers acquisition will bring BetMakers’ cloud-based wagering technology, racing data and trading tools into Tabcorp. The company plans to use the technology across its TAB and B2B operations. This includes wagering platforms, tote technology and vision services.
  • BetMakers is mainly a B2B wagering technology supplier, operating through Global Betting Services and Global Tote. Its products include wagering platforms, fixed-odds data, trading solutions, racing content, tote hosting and betting terminals. In FY2025, 73% of its revenue came from international markets and 97% was contracted.
  • Tabcorp expects the combination to expand its international B2B wagering business. The companies’ combined services will cover racing content, data, wagering technology, tote operations and integrity services. Tabcorp describes the business as a “global B2B growth engine”.
  • Tabcorp is targeting AUD 30 million (ca. EUR 18 million) in annual run-rate cost synergies by the end of Year 2. The company expects the transaction to increase earnings per share (EPS) from Year 2 and deliver double-digit EPS  accretion from Year 3. Savings are expected across technology, product development and corporate functions.
