Polymarket has appointed Travis VanderZanden as Chief Growth Officer. In this role he will focus on scaling the prediction market platform.

• VanderZanden previously worked at Uber and served as COO of Lyft before founding electric scooter company Bird. His career has focused on growing two-sided marketplaces. He now brings that experience to Polymarket.
• Polymarket lets users trade on real-world outcomes, including politics and sports, creating an overlap with betting markets. VanderZanden said prediction markets could expand well beyond these areas. “Every price on Polymarket is a question the world actually wants answered,” he said.
• The new Polymarket Chief Growth Officer will work with founder and CEO Shayne Coplan as the company expands. VanderZanden also said Polymarket is hiring, without giving further details.
