ACMA (Australian Communication and Media Authority) gambling website blocking is part of enforcement under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 – see the most recent developments:

• The latest action covers Bet Ninja, Riobet188, ThePokies33, Spade69 and WinShark. ACMA found the websites were operating in breach of Australian gambling law. Internet providers have been asked to block access.
• ACMA has now requested blocks against 1,822 illegal gambling and affiliate websites since November 2019. More than 230 illegal services have also left the Australian market since stronger enforcement began in 2017.
• ACMA warned that illegal gambling websites may not provide the same customer protections as licensed services. Consumers can use ACMA’s register to check whether a wagering provider is licensed in Australia.
