Paf is preparing for Finland’s regulated gambling market opening in July 2027. The Paf Finland licensing plans include industry cooperation and sports partnerships.
- Industry association: Paf will join Rahapeliala ry, the Finnish Gaming Association – the announcement came during its Åktoberfest seminar in Helsinki, marking Paf’s 60th anniversary. Veikkaus also joined the association in September 2026. Members will work together on industry issues ahead of the market opening.
- Sports partnerships: Paf will become a main partner of the Finnish Ski Association when the market opens. The operator also announced a partnership with former Formula One driver Kimi Räikkönen.
- Player protection: Discussions at the seminar covered illegal gambling, advertising rules and centralised player limits across operators. Paf already applies an annual loss limit of EUR 15,000 for customers aged 25 and over, with lower limits for younger players.
- Company figures: The Åland-based operator, founded in 1966, reported EUR 214.5 million in turnover in 2025 and distributed EUR 55.5 million to good causes. Paf operates in both betting and casino, covering online and land-based gaming.
