The Missouri Lottery is hitting the refresh button in a big way. Thanks to a new eight-year deal with Brightstar, the Missouri Lottery modernization plan is set to transform both retail and digital play. The move aims to boost player engagement and, just as importantly, keep the dollars flowing to Missouri’s schools.

  • Brightstar’s OMNIA platform will tie together in-store and online operations across Missouri. This system is built to streamline day-to-day tasks and give players a smoother way to join in on the fun. Missouri Lottery modernization is all about creating one connected experience that works wherever players are.

  • Players can look forward to new second-chance draws and extra loyalty rewards. The digital expansion will also introduce Connected Play and more dynamic promo options. All these additions are designed to make the digital side of the Lottery more engaging and easier to navigate.

  • The tech upgrades on the retail side are big: over 5,000 Retailer Pro S2 terminals and more than 2,000 GameTouch 28 machines will be rolled out. Brightstar is also bringing in hundreds of extra devices to help retailers stay flexible and reliable. These changes are a major part of the Missouri Lottery modernization effort to keep up with the times.

  • Brightstar will install a new communications network and around 1,250 digital menu boards across the state. This setup will help stores connect better with players and run smoother marketing campaigns. The goal is to keep players coming back and give retailers more tools to engage customers.

  • Missouri Lottery Executive Director Lester Elder underlined what this means for schools. “For more than 30 years, the Missouri Lottery has relied on Brightstar’s world-class technology,” Elder said. Over the years, the Lottery has sent more than $8.5 billion to Missouri classrooms.

  • Brightstar’s reach goes far beyond Missouri, serving close to 90 lotteries worldwide. In the U.S., it supports 26 of the 46 lottery jurisdictions, showing its strong market hold. Internationally, Brightstar partners with seven out of the ten biggest lotteries around the globe.
