Rank Group revenue saw an 11% lift in the year to 30 June 2025, reaching £795.3m. Gains came from all divisions, with Grosvenor venues and digital operations leading the charge. The business also benefitted from the UK’s new land-based casino reforms, paving the way for more machines and sports betting.
Group underlying like-for-like net gaming revenue rose to £795.3m, up 11% on last year, with venues contributing £559.6m and digital £235.7m. Operating profit jumped 38% to £63.7m, while statutory profit before tax climbed to £53.9m. Net cash pre IFRS 16 more than doubled to £45.4m, driven by stronger returns on capital employed at 14.5%.
Grosvenor venues achieved 14% NGR growth, boosted by a 3% rise in visits and 11% higher spend per visit. The flagship Grosvenor Victoria Casino reopened in July 2025 after a £15m refurbishment. The new casino reforms will allow an extra 850 gaming machines in 2025/26 and introduce sports betting in 38 venues.
Mecca venues saw NGR up 5% on a like-for-like basis, despite flat visitor numbers. Spend per visit increased 5%, and gaming machine revenues rose 9%, now making up 41% of total venue revenue. Investment included new machines, upgraded bingo tablets, and refreshed signage to boost appeal.
Enracha venues in Spain reported 9% NGR growth, supported by 3% higher visit numbers and 6% more spend per visit. Refurbishments in Seville and improvements in Sabadell helped drive performance, with underlying operating profit up 15% to £10.8m.
Digital revenue grew 10% to £235.7m, with UK operations up 12% thanks to Grosvenor (+22%) and Mecca (+11%) online brands. Profit rose 41% to £33.3m, supported by new proprietary apps, live-streamed games, and improved cross-channel experiences.
Group capital expenditure hit £58.5m, targeting venue upgrades and preparations for the casino reforms. The board recommended a final dividend of 1.95p per share, taking the full-year payout to 2.60p.
CEO John O’Reilly said: “We have had another successful year, delivering revenue growth and profit ahead of our expectations… The Grosvenor business will benefit from higher gaming machine allocations and the introduction of sports betting, which will better meet customer needs and broaden the appeal of casinos.”
