The AGA (American Gaming Association) chairman election marks a leadership change coming in January 2026. Delaware North CEO Lou Jacobs will take over from Michael Rumbolz after the board approved his two-year term.

  • Lou Jacobs said he is ready to work with AGA CEO Bill Miller and the board as legal gaming continues to expand. He leads Delaware North’s gaming and hospitality operations, including regional casinos and online sports betting and iGaming. “It’s an honor to lead the AGA at such a dynamic time,” Jacobs said.

  • The AGA pointed to Jacob’s experience across gaming, hospitality and corporate governance as a useful fit for current policy debates. Miller said Jacobs’ long involvement with the association will help maintain continuity on issues such as taxation, regulation and responsible gaming. The AGA chairman election places him at the center of these national discussions.

  • Present AGA chairman Michael Rumbolz ends his term after steering the AGA through key wins at both state and federal levels. His tenure focused on strengthening responsible gaming programs and targeting unregulated gambling activity. Jacobs, who also leads community initiatives in Western New York, steps into the role as the industry broadens its regulatory footprint and the AGA chairman election sets its policy direction.
