BETBY has unveiled what it describes as the industry’s first 24/7 live chess betting product. The launch is aligned with the FIDE World Rapid & Blitz Championships 2025. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to establish 24/7 live chess as a consistent sportsbook vertical.

• The supplier said a key challenge was the lack of continuous chess events, which limits betting availability. To solve this, BETBY focused on chess engine tournaments that run under fixed hardware, long time controls and seasonal formats. These competitions follow round-robin and playoff structures, ensuring uninterrupted betting content.

• BETBY developed its own live modelling framework after finding no existing solutions in the market. Chess engine betting required complex modelling due to the number of possible moves and game states. The resulting 24/7 live chess offering includes winner markets, handicaps, total rounds and other in-play options.

• The product allows operators to keep chess betting live even outside official tournament hours. Kirill Nekrasov, head of sportsbook product at BETBY, said: “For the first time, operators can offer a stable stream of premium chess content supported by a sophisticated live model.” The company will showcase the product further at ICE Barcelona 2026.
