BETBY has shared fresh details about its BETBY ICE Barcelona activation planned for ICE 2026. The sportsbook supplier is combining chess, live entertainment and delegate interaction at the Barcelona show. The BETBY ICE Barcelona session is scheduled for Day 2 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via.
The main feature is a blindfold chess exhibition match between Magnus Carlsen and Hikaru Nakamura, a format they have never played publicly against each other. Both players will compete without seeing the board, relying on memory and calculation. The match will be staged live at BETBY’s stand and open to ICE attendees.
Levy Rozman, also known as GothamChess, will deliver live commentary during the match. He will explain the thinking behind the moves as the game progresses. BETBY says his role is to keep the format easy to follow for a broad audience.
The BETBY ICE Barcelona activation will also include interactive exhibition games and a fireside chat. ICE delegates will be able to play short games against Carlsen or Nakamura and join a discussion on strategy and decision-making. “An exhibition blindfold match between Magnus and Hikaru is the kind of moment that you can hardly imagine seeing,” said Pierre Pulis, marketing director at BETBY.
