DraftKings has appointed Andrew Winchell as Senior Government Affairs Manager.  The appointment strengthens the DraftKings government affairs team as regulatory discussions continue across the US.

  • In his new role, Winchell will work within the DraftKings government affairs team engaging with lawmakers, regulators and industry stakeholders on policy issues affecting sports betting and online gaming. It also tracks legislative and regulatory developments across different states.
  • Winchell brings more than 17 years of experience in government affairs, regulation and public policy. Before joining DraftKings, he served as Head of Government Affairs at Betr and spent five years as Director of Regulatory Affairs at FanDuel. Earlier in his career, he held senior legislative roles in New York State government, including nearly a decade as Chief of Staff to State Senator John J. Bonacic.
  • Winchell  thanked DraftKings for the opportunity. “I greatly appreciate the trust that the team has placed in me,” he wrote. He added that he looks forward to supporting the gaming industry’s development.
