Ageeth Bakker has been appointed as Nederlandse Loterij CFRO and will join the executive board of the Dutch lottery operator on 1 November 2026. The appointment completes the four-member executive management team.

  • Bakker joins Nederlandse Loterij after serving as Chief Financial & Risk Officer and member of the executive board at Bovemij Group since 2019. Earlier this week, she stepped down from that position. Before Bovemij, she held senior leadership roles at Onderlinge Waarborggroep Centramed and spent 13 years at Achmea Group, including finance and risk management positions.
  • Raymond Knops, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, said Bakker’s experience in finance, risk management and regulated industries makes her well suited for the role. He added that the strengthened executive board will support the company’s strategic ambitions as a responsible gambling operator. The Nederlandse Loterij CFRO appointment brings the executive board to full strength alongside CEO Arjan Blok, CTIO Maartje Geven and CCO Arno de Jong.
  • Nederlandse Loterij operates ten brands, including Staatsloterij, Lotto, Eurojackpot, TOTO Sport, TOTO Casino and Winnitt. The operator says it focuses on consumer protection, preventing gambling harm and combating fraud and illegal gambling, while returning most of its proceeds to sport, charities and the Dutch state. In 2025, these contributions totalled EUR 200.6 million, with the Nederlandse Loterij CFRO set to oversee the company’s finance and risk functions from November 2026.
