UK Tote Group reported steady wagering activity for the year ended 28 September 2025 despite a challenging trading environment.  The business continued investing in technology, systems and customer acquisition as it prepares for future growth – see more details:

  • UK Tote Group recorded GBP 770.0 million in amounts wagered during 2025, up from GBP 680.2 million a year earlier. UK-hosted pool wagers reached GBP 614 million, compared with GBP 621 million in 2024 after adjusting for the previous year’s extra trading week. Turnover (revenue) increased 7.5% to GBP 48.8 million from GBP 45.4 million.
  • The group reported a statutory operating loss of GBP 8.5 million, compared with GBP 7.4 million in 2024. After adjustments including amortisation, depreciation and non-cash items, underlying EBITDA was a profit of GBP 1.0 million, down from GBP 1.8 million. The company said: “Financial performance has been challenging, with cost investment exceeding growth in gross profit.”
  • The B2B business, TPoolCo, generated EBITDA of GBP 15.7 million, down from GBP 17.2 million. The company said weaker-than-expected performance was driven by flat UK pool wagers, softer margins in its algorithmic major players channel and continued investment. Meanwhile, the B2C division TDCO reduced its EBITDA loss to GBP 11.9 million from GBP 12.8 million as investment continued in its direct-to-consumer strategy.
  • Gross profit rose to GBP 40.3 million from GBP 37.9 million, while administrative expenses increased to GBP 51.9 million. Other operating income climbed to GBP 3.2 million, mainly due to GBO 3.0 million in third-party fee income and an R&D tax credit. Group central overhead costs increased slightly to GBP 2.8 million.
  • The UK Tote Group ended the year with total equity of GBP 65.4 million, down from GBP 72.0 million in 2024. Cash at bank stood at GBP 15.5 million, while net assets totalled GBP 65.4 million. The board said it expects the business to remain a going concern, supported by available funding and financial backing from parent company UK Tote Group Limited.
