Allwyn has completed its move into US daily fantasy sports with the Allwyn PrizePicks acquisition. The transaction gives the lottery group a controlling stake in a fast-growing North American operator. It also strengthens Allwyn’s exposure to digital and prediction-based gaming products.
Allwyn acquired a 62.3% stake in PrizePicks for USD 1.533bn (ca. EUR 1.335bn), excluding earnouts and subject to customary post-closing adjustments. PrizePicks had no outstanding loans or borrowings at completion.
PrizePicks operates daily fantasy sports and prediction-style products across nearly every US state. In November 2025, it launched regulated prediction markets after registering as a Futures Commission Merchant with the National Futures Association. This structure supports nationwide scale under federal oversight.
The platform recently added Team Picks and Culture Picks to its app, expanding beyond player-based predictions. Team Picks is live in 30 states and Washington, DC, while Culture Picks is available in 48 states and DC. Commenting on the deal, Allwyn CEO Robert Chvatal said: “This investment advances Allwyn’s strategy to build a diversified global entertainment platform.”
