Casinos Austria has appointed Andreas Bierwirth as its next CEO from 14 March 2027. He will also chair the Management Board of Austrian Lotteries. The Casinos Austria CEO change follows Erwin van Lambaart’s departure.

• New CEO: Bierwirth has served as Chief Transformation Officer at Casinos Austria and Austrian Lotteries since October 2025. He will take over both leadership roles in March 2027. His appointment followed an international search.
• Van Lambaart steps down: Erwin van Lambaart will leave when his five-year contract ends in March 2027. He has led Casinos Austria since April 2022. He decided not to seek another term, saying the company would benefit from “a new leadership team”.
• Management changes: Following the Casinos Austria CEO appointment, the Management Board will consist of Bierwirth and Martin Škopek. The group is also preparing for changes to Austria’s gambling regulations. Allwyn CEO Robert Chvatal said the company was ready for the upcoming concession process.
