Aristocrat Leisure is stepping up its digital game with a deal to buy Awager Ltd from Oaktree Capital. The move marks another push into the fast-emerging live slot streaming space, a segment combining real casino play with online interactivity. The Aristocrat Awager acquisition adds new tech muscle and access to a format that’s quickly reshaping how players engage with online gaming.
Awager has carved out a strong lead in live slot streaming — a format that lets players experience real-time slot action from a physical casino through digital streaming. It gives operators a new way to reach audiences who crave authentic casino vibes without leaving home. Aristocrat plans to plug in its own premium slot titles to build on that momentum.
Based in Israel, Awager has about 75 staff spread across Israel, Eastern Europe, and the US. The company’s tech platform and exclusive distribution deals with top iGaming brands have helped it become a market leader in the US. That network and know-how are key reasons Aristocrat sees big potential in the partnership.
The deal, which is still waiting on regulatory approval, is expected to close in the coming months. No price tag has been shared. Once finalized, Awager will join Aristocrat’s digital division, giving it access to new channels and cutting-edge live streaming tools. UBS advised Aristocrat on the transaction, while Moelis & Company worked with Oaktree.
Aristocrat said the acquisition fits perfectly with its growth strategy in regulated digital markets. “Awager brings new capabilities that complement our content and global reach,” an Aristocrat representative said. The company sees live slot streaming as one of the most exciting areas for future expansion.
