Arizona regulators have moved against a group of unlicensed gambling operators. The latest Arizona gambling crackdown focuses on sites offering betting and casino products without approval. Officials say these platforms have been targeting players in the state.
- The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) confirmed it has issued multiple cease-and-desist orders this week. The action targets a mix of offshore and domestic operators. Each has been told to stop offering gambling services to people in Arizona.
- The list includes sweepstakes-style sites, sportsbooks and betting exchanges. Names mentioned by the regulator include Modo.us, Epic Hunts, Generiz, ProphetX, MyBookie and BetUS.com.pa. These platforms are said to offer products such as slot-style games, sports betting and horse racing wagers without a licence.
- Under the Arizona gambling crackdown, regulators argue these activities may breach several state laws. Alleged offences include promoting gambling and running illegal enterprises. Money laundering provisions have also been referenced as part of the enforcement action.
- ADG Director Jackie Johnson made clear the state’s position on the issue. She said: “Illegal gaming – no matter the platform or format – has no place in Arizona.” The department is also warning that unlicensed sites can leave players exposed to fraud, identity theft and financial losses.
