ATG has appointed Jörgen Forsberg as interim chief executive. The move follows leadership changes earlier this year after the departure of Hasse Lord Skarplöth. Forsberg will serve as ATG acting CEO until the board appoints a permanent replacement.
The board of AB Trav och Galopp confirmed Jörgen Forsberg as ATG acting CEO on Thursday evening. He takes up the role immediately and will lead the company during the transition period. The recruitment process for a permanent CEO is currently ongoing.
Forsberg replaces Peter Norman, who had been serving as interim chief executive since February. Norman had stepped into the role after the departure of former CEO Hasse Lord Skarplöth. He will now return fully to his position as chairman of ATG’s board.
Forsberg will continue as president and CEO of Swedish Trotting Sport while serving as ATG acting CEO. Deputy CEO Ulf Hörnberg will handle several operational CEO duties at Svensk Travsport during the same period. “While waiting for a new CEO, I look forward to continuing to develop ATG in accordance with the Board’s plans,” Forsberg said.
