Banijay Group started 2026 with higher revenue and earnings. Banijay H1 2026 was supported by the first contribution from Tipico after its acquisition in April 2026. Online betting and gaming remained the group’s strongest business, and the company kept its full-year outlook unchanged.

  • Revenue increased 16.9% to EUR 2.58 billion, while adjusted EBITDA rose 18.5% to EUR 502.9 million. On a pro forma basis, revenue grew 4.5%. Banijay expects a stronger second half of the year.
  • Betting and gaming revenue reached EUR 1.21 billion. Unique active players increased 22%, helped by the Champions League and the FIFA World Cup. Sportsbook revenue grew 8.6%, while games, poker and turf were up 18.3% combined.
  • Online made up 83% of betting and gaming revenue, with retail accounting for 17%. The FIFA World Cup brought record activity, with player numbers up 75% compared with the 2022 tournament and betting turnover doubling. Most of the tournament’s earnings will come in the second half.
  • Tipico is now being integrated into the business, while the acquisition of French casino operator JOA is expected to close later this year. CEO François Riahi said: “We delivered a solid first-half performance, with solid revenue growth across the Group and record player engagement in Sports Betting & Gaming.”
