Betsson has completed the Betsson Rhino acquisition, finalising the EUR 64.5 million deal that was announced earlier this year. The transaction adds Rhino Entertainment Group’s licensed Canadian B2C business as well as technology assets that will support Betsson’s B2B operations. The acquisition strengthens Betsson’s presence in Canada while expanding its technology portfolio.
- The completed transaction includes several Rhino Group companies that hold the assets, licences, personnel and operational capabilities for Rhino’s B2C business in Ontario and the wider Canadian market. Betsson announced the agreement earlier, and all closing conditions have now been met. The Canadian business is now part of the Betsson Group.
- In addition to the customer-facing operations, Betsson has acquired Rhino’s proprietary front-end and middleware technology. The company said these assets will strengthen its B2B offering by supporting platform development and future integrations. The Betsson Rhino acquisition therefore extends beyond the Canadian consumer business.
- Betsson also expects the acquired technology to generate additional licensing revenue through its B2B activities. The deal combines operational market access in Canada with technology that can be deployed across other partners and markets.
