Catena Media announced preliminary Q3 2026 results showing lower revenue and earnings. The affiliate group has dropped its 2026 growth targets. The full Q3 report is due on 10 November.
- Revenue and earnings: Revenue fell from EUR 11.6 million in Q3 2025 to EUR 8.3 million in Q3 2026, down 29%. Adjusted EBITDA dropped from EUR 2.9 million to EUR 0.7 million, including a positive EUR 0.7 million bonus accrual reversal. Nine-month revenue reached EUR 30.1 million, with adjusted EBITDA at EUR 4.6 million.
- Financial targets: Catena Media no longer expects double-digit organic growth in revenue and adjusted EBITDA for 2026. The company also expects a non-cash impairment charge of EUR 30–35 million on intangible assets. The charge will be recorded in Q3 2026.
- Search traffic: The Catena Media Q3 2026 results reflect lower search rankings and reduced traffic linked to AI-driven search changes. Lower operator marketing budgets also affected performance. More than 90% of new customers are acquired under CPA (Cost Per Acquisition) agreements, leaving the group with limited recurring revenue.
- Strategy: CEO Manuel Stan said: “This was a weak quarter and our results reflect that.” Catena Media plans to reduce its reliance on search through TraffiqX, prediction markets and loyalty programmes. TraffiqX is a new platform planned for Q1 2027, intended to support the company’s revenue diversification strategy.
