Gaming in the Nordics will make its debut in Copenhagen on 18 June 2026. The event will gather senior figures from regulated and emerging Nordic gambling markets. Gaming in the Nordics is the latest conference initiative from Gaming in Europe.

  • The launch event will take place at Better Collective’s headquarters in Copenhagen. It is designed as a half-day conference with limited capacity. Organisers said the focus will be on discussion and knowledge sharing across the Nordic region.
  • Anders Dorph, Director of the Danish Gambling Authority, has been confirmed as the headline speaker. His participation will bring a regulatory perspective to the event. The conference will explore developments across Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway.
  • Betsson CEO Pontus Lindwall and Better Collective Co-Founder and Co-CEO Jesper Søgaard are among the confirmed speakers. They will be joined by representatives from industry associations and legal experts. The programme combines operator, regulatory and advisory viewpoints.
  • Other speakers include Morten Ronde from the Danish Online Gambling Association, Fredrik Stenstrøm from the Norwegian Association for Online Gaming and Pekka Ilmivalta of Nordic Legal Finland. Birgitte Sand, Josh Hodgson and Peter-Paul de Goeij will also take part. The lineup reflects a broad mix of expertise from across the sector.
  • Commenting on the event, founder Willem van Oort said: “It is always good to be able to facilitate a dialogue between regulatory authorities and the industry.” He added that Nordic markets may differ in maturity and regulation. However, he said they share enough common ground for a useful exchange of experiences and best practices.
  • Gaming in the Nordics will initially operate as a smaller launch event before expanding further. Organisers plan to introduce a full annual conference in Copenhagen from 2027 onward. Key sessions from this year’s Gaming in the Nordics event will be recorded and shared with community members.
