Genius Sports has signed a major deal to secure European Leagues betting data rights. The agreement covers 18 member leagues, with over 8,000 matches across men’s and women’s football. Alongside the data rights, Genius will roll out its GeniusIQ tech platform to enhance tracking, officiating, and fan engagement.

  • The agreement includes 46 competitions across Europe, such as the Belgian Pro League, Dutch Eredivisie, Liga Portugal, and Greek Super League. Genius Sports will be the exclusive supplier of official betting data for all matches to its network of regulated sportsbooks worldwide.

  • Genius Sports’ GeniusIQ platform will be deployed across European stadiums. This AI-powered system supports tracking, match officiating, player performance analysis, and interactive fan tools.

  • The European Leagues deal adds to Genius Sports’ growing portfolio, which already features the Premier League, Ligue 1, Belgian Pro League, and Danish Superliga. It strengthens the company’s role as a global betting data provider.

  • GeniusIQ is designed to protect and grow the value of official football data. By using AI and tracking technology, it helps leagues engage fans and provide deeper analytical insights for teams.

  • Alberto Colombo, General Secretary of the European Leagues, said the agreement supports members in future commercial growth. He added that technology is becoming central to how sports rights are negotiated.

  • Steven Burton, Chief Partnerships Officer at Genius Sports, said the expanded deal shows how technology investment can reset traditional rights models. He noted it opens the door to new sales and revenue opportunities for leagues.
