Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has been approved to test online casino games and systems in New Zealand. The approval covers testing and certification services for the country’s regulated market. The New Zealand online casino licensing process is set to begin in October 2026.

  • GLI will provide testing and certification services for online casino operators and suppliers. These include technical compliance checks and cybersecurity assessments. The services will support companies preparing to enter the market.
  • New Zealand is introducing a licensing system for online casinos. The Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) oversees the regulatory framework. Operators and suppliers must meet technical requirements under the new rules.
  • GLI already operates testing laboratories across the Asia-Pacific region. APAC Managing Director Richard Howarth said New Zealand represents “an important development for regulated iGaming in the APAC region.” The company will support New Zealand online casino businesses with compliance testing.
