Kalshi has made a new senior hire to support its engagement with US policymakers. The company continues to focus on regulatory discussions around prediction markets at state level. The move strengthens Kalshi government relations activities.

• Kalshi has appointed Blake Bee (see picture below) as Director of State Government Relations, with responsibility for state-level policy and regulatory engagement. The role is focused on building dialogue with lawmakers as prediction markets gain more attention across the US. The appointment adds experience to Kalshi government relations efforts.

• Bee joins Kalshi from Amazon, where he worked on the company’s public policy team. His background includes engagement with public institutions and policymakers across a range of issues. This experience is expected to support Kalshi government relations work as discussions evolve.

• Commenting on his move, Bee said: “I couldn’t be more excited to join Kalshi, a company on a mission to bring more truth to the world through the power of markets.” He also thanked his former colleagues at Amazon for their collaboration. The transition marks a shift from a large technology company to a specialised market operator.
