Kalshi has partnered with The Weather Company for its weather prediction markets – see more details:

• Kalshi’s climate and weather volume has grown 500% year on year and is heading toward USD 1.1bn (ca. EUR 0.95 bn) in annualized volume. Markets cover events such as temperature and precipitation. Businesses can also use the contracts to manage weather-related risks.
• The Weather Company will provide the observation data used to settle Kalshi weather markets. Data can come from official weather stations or several observation sources. Kalshi remains responsible for designing contracts, operating the exchange and resolving markets.
• Kalshi probability data will appear in selected Weather Channel app and weather.com experiences. It will show how the market prices the probability of certain weather outcomes. The companies also plan to explore new markets around climate, sports and culture.
• Kalshi operates a regulated prediction-market exchange rather than a traditional sportsbook. “Our priority is ensuring Kalshi’s settlements rest on objective, scientifically validated atmospheric data,” said The Weather Company’s Dr. James Belanger.
