The Dutch Gambling Authority (Ksa) has renewed three monopoly licences for Lotto B.V. The Lotto Netherlands licences will run for five years from January 2027.

  • Lotto B.V. keeps three monopoly licences until the end of 2031. They cover lotteries, scratch cards and land-based sports betting. The current licences expire at the end of 2026.
  • Lotto remains the only licence holder for these activities. The Lotto Netherlands licences were renewed after the company met the Ksa’s requirements. The permits start on 1 January 2027.
  • The monopoly system is still being challenged in court. A Council of State ruling could affect whether other companies can apply in future.
