New Hampshire has formally signed off on keeping DraftKings in place for another two years. The DraftKings New Hampshire extension has now been approved by the Governor and Executive Council. That means DraftKings will continue running mobile and retail sportsbooks in the state through mid-2028.
The New Hampshire Lottery and Gaming Commission sought approval to amend its contract with Crown NH Gaming LLC, trading as DraftKings with the extension running from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2028. The original deal, approved in November 2019, was due to expire in mid 2026.
With approval secured, the DraftKings New Hampshire extension now takes effect. The amendment stated the changes would apply once signed off by the Governor and Executive Council. That condition has now been fulfilled.
The revised agreement raises the retail promotional deduction cap from 10% to 40% of gross gaming revenue. The Lottery linked the increase to higher retail investment and operating costs. Online promotional payments remain capped at 15% of gross gaming revenue.
The amendment, dated 12 December 2025, was signed by Lottery Executive Director Charles R. McIntyre and DraftKings President and CEO Paul Liberman. It also confirms the original contract allowed for two additional two-year extensions. The DraftKings New Hampshire extension follows that structure.
In November 2019, DraftKings was contracted to supply the mobile app and support retail sports book operations in New Hampshire while launching the mobile app the end of 2019. Since then sports betting has generated more than USD 172m (ca. EUR 145m) for the state’s Education Trust Fund.
- In FY 2025 sports betting (retail & online) counted more than USD 40 million (ca. EUR 34 million) in revenue according to the annual report published by New Hampshire Lottery, plus 25% compared to FY 2024 with ca. USD 32 million (ca. EUR 27 million). This reflects a share of around 6.7% of total operating revenue made by the NH Lottery in FY 2025 (FY 2024: ca. 5.1%).
