Christian Gruber will take over as CEO of pferdewetten.de AG from 1 March 2026.  The pferdewetten.de CEO appointment adds an experienced betting and sports executive to the board.

• Pferdewetten.de AG has appointed Christian Gruber as its new CEO with effect from 1 March 2026, joining the existing management board alongside Pierre Hofer, Ronny Kießling and Lars Corbo. The decision was made by the company’s supervisory board.

• Gruber will be responsible for expanding the group’s sports betting business across retail and online channels, while also overseeing marketing, communications and human resources. Hofer will continue to focus on horse racing betting activities and investor relations.

• The incoming CEO brings extensive experience from sports, media and betting, having previously held senior roles at Tipico, Sport1, William Hill, Mr Green and Merkur Bets, as well as management positions within football clubs and the Swiss-listed Stadtcasino Baden group.
