Slips – the peer-to-peer betting platform – has added new features that lets users create real-money bets and challenges friends directly through its platform. The model means players bet against each other rather than against the house. Bets can cover sports as well as other topics agreed between users.

• The betting process is built into Slips’ group chat. Users can send and accept bets from conversations, while chats also support images and reactions. The Slips peer-to-peer betting platform handles the settlement.
• Slips says bets between friends have no platform fees. The company matches users without taking the other side of the bet, although membership tiers can limit free transactions. ACH (Automated Clearing House) deposits are also available without deposit fees.
