Sunbet has expanded into Namibia as part of its African growth strategy. The Sunbet Namibia launch has been delivered through its long-term technology partner, Bede Gaming.
- Sunbet – part of Sun International – has launched in Namibia using Bede Gaming’s platform, marking its third African market together with the supplier. The offering includes sports betting, slots and live casino. Content comes from partners including Kambi, Evolution, Habanero and Pariplay.
- The launch also gives Sunbet access to CRM tools through Bede’s partnership with Xtremepush. The technology will support customer acquisition and retention efforts. It is designed to help the operator grow its player base in Namibia.
- Sunbet and Bede have worked together since 2017. Their partnership expanded after South Africa opened the door to online slots in 2022. The companies later entered Botswana together in 2024.
- Botswana has delivered strong results for the partnership. During H2 2025, registrations rose by 189% and unique players increased by 239%. Total wagering and gross gaming revenue grew by 370% and 350% respectively.
- Sunbet reported strong FY25 results, with income up 75.9% year-on-year and adjusted EBITDA reaching R744m. CEO Simon Gregory said Namibia was the natural next step following the company’s success in Botswana. He added that Bede provides the flexibility needed to support Sunbet’s wider African expansion plans.
