Tim Miller will leave the UK Gambling Commission in September after 10 years with the regulator. The Tim Miller departure ends his time as Executive Director of Policy & Research. He will move into a role supporting governments and regulators around the world.
- Tim Miller helped strengthen the Commission’s research and evidence base during his decade in the role. He also oversaw the launch of the Gambling Survey for Great Britain, providing new data to support gambling policy.
- Miller also led the Commission’s work on the Gambling Act Review White Paper. This included reforms to age verification, financial vulnerability checks, remote game design and marketing rules. Miller said: “I have worked at the Commission longer than anywhere else during my career and have found it the most rewarding and fulfilling role.”
- Acting Chief Executive Sarah Gardner thanked Miller for his contribution over the past decade and wished him well in his new role. The Commission said it will announce arrangements for his responsibilities at a later date.
