Tipico has joined the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) at the start of 2026. The move brings Germany’s biggest sports betting operator into the Brussels-based trade group. The Tipico EGBA membership strengthens EGBA’s presence in one of Europe’s largest regulated gambling markets.

  • EGBA confirmed Tipico as its newest member on 19 January, further expanding its licensed operator base. The association represents online gambling companies active across multiple EU jurisdictions. Germany remains a key focus due to its market size and regulatory importance.

  • Through the Tipico EGBA membership, the operator will take part in working groups covering responsible advertising, safer gambling and anti-money laundering. Tipico will contribute to policy discussions and shared industry standards. The company said this aligns with its focus on regulation and player protection.

  • Jochen Weiner, Director Public Policy at Tipico, said: “As a company committed to player protection and regulatory excellence, we look forward to contributing our expertise to EGBA’s important work.” EGBA said Tipico’s operational experience in Germany and Austria will support dialogue with national and EU regulators. The association’s members now collectively account for around 30% of Europe’s online gambling gross gaming revenue.
