Veikkaus has appointed Chris Armes as Executive Vice President, Gaming Technologies and a member of its Executive Team. He will lead Veikkaus Gaming Technologies from Helsinki and start during fall 2026. The appointment comes ahead of Finland’s move to a licensed gambling market.

• Armes joins from High5Games, where he oversaw technology and operational delivery across B2B and B2C markets. He previously held senior technology roles at Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) and Scientific Games Digital. His experience covers digital platforms, cloud technology, cybersecurity and AI-based player protection.
• At Scientific Games Digital, Armes led the integration following the acquisition of NYX Gaming Group. “I look forward to working with the talented team in Helsinki to support the next phase of technology-led growth,” he said. Veikkaus Gaming Technologies will be part of the company’s preparations for Finland’s changing gambling market and its international expansion.
• Ari Aarnihuhta will remain at Veikkaus as Executive Advisor after holding several management positions at the company. CEO Olli Sarekoski thanked him for his work and said Armes brings international gaming and technology experience to the team. Veikkaus Gaming Technologies will move under Armes when he takes up the role in fall 2026.
